Supermoon lucky horoscopes for you

As we all take to the rooftops tonight, gazing anxiously through the clouds to see the supermoon at its closest point to the Earth in 69 years, what will be going through your mind?

Will it be the question of the windchill factor up there? or whether the silvery rays of light will help you get lucky tonight?

Are you looking out for The Man In The Moon? Maybe getting hungry for green cheese?

Will you be bearing in mind that in the Middle Ages, the moon was said to to rule drunkards, and acting accordingly?

(Which I will come to later, with a transparent Moonbeam cocktail)

– will you be deciding that it’s a marvellous night for a Moondance?

Or perhaps just indulging in that most lunar of pastimes, a little lycanthropy?

As long as we can keep it together, because it’s all good fun until somebody loses an eye – I am a selfish person, so I will be trying to establish what effect this megamoon will be having on me personally.

This particular moon is in the house of Taurus, which is terrific news, as Taurus is an especially auspicious and positive sign of the zodiac.

Leo’s endless quest for attention, success and fame can be encouraged at this time as Taurus brings an element of financial support during this time. This is a good time for you to spend time with family, and don’t embark on new projects if you have some you have yet to develop.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)

This is a time for both male and female Virgos to take romantic chances and focus on the physical aspects of love or affection. You can benefit from the earthy sexuality of Taurus and let go more than you usually would. Let yourself unwind!

Libra (September 23-October 22)

This can be an overwhelming time for Libra people, as they don’t as a rule mesh well with Taurus. Try to concentrate on your daily routine, and doing small things things perfectly. This will calm you, and your spirits will rise soon. Get plenty of sleep.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

Scorpio sits opposite Taurus in the zodiac. This is a time of perfect balance for Scorpio, when your fixity of purpose and fluid outlook will bring you success during this moon phase. This is a very appropriate time for you to find romance.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)

Try to avoid superficial pursuits during this time, as they do not jibe well with serious Taurus traits. Focus on work, and try reading classics of literature or watching documentaries in your spare time, as this will help stimulate your brain and help you formulate new and different plans for the future.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19)

Capricorn and Taurus are both earth signs, so this is a good luck time for you. You will find this a favourable time to make improvements to your home, even if they are little things, and discover that you feel relaxed and satisfied as a result.

For saluting the moon tonight, a clear concoction of Pisco grape brandy, Prosecco, and just a whisper of Curaçao. Use moon-infused ingredients when possible.

Prosecco according to how large a glass you are using. I would recommend a larger size of glass for this, as it is potent indeed.

Rinse the glass out with Curaçao, just as you would perform an absinthe rinse. Add the Pisco then top up with Prosecco, served in a chilled glass with a swizzle stick for mixing.
